Legal & Disclaimer

What this site is.
What it isn't.

Read this before using Precedent100 for any legal, research, or professional purpose.

Not a Legal Service

Precedent100 is not a law firm. It does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal counsel of any kind. Nothing on this site should be construed as legal advice or used as a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney. If you have a legal matter, consult a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction.

The case profiles, analysis, system flags, and precedent questions published on this site are for educational, informational, and research purposes only. They do not constitute legal opinions, legal conclusions, or recommendations for any course of legal action.

Public Record & Sources

All information published on Precedent100 is drawn exclusively from publicly available sources — court records, official government press releases, verified news reporting, and publicly accessible legal filings. Precedent100 does not publish sealed records, juvenile records, expunged records, or any information protected from public disclosure under applicable law.

Sources are cited on every case page. Readers are encouraged to verify information independently using the linked sources. Precedent100 makes reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but does not guarantee that all information is current, complete, or free from error. Case details are subject to change as legal proceedings develop.

Court cases are a matter of public record. The documentation, analysis, and comparative presentation of public court records is a longstanding practice in journalism, legal scholarship, and civic research.

No Wrongdoing Alleged Beyond the Legal Record

Precedent100 does not allege wrongdoing beyond what has been legally established in the public record. Case profiles present what happened according to court proceedings, verdicts, and verified reporting — not editorial conclusions about guilt, innocence, or culpability beyond what courts have determined.

Individuals who have been acquitted are presented as acquitted. Individuals whose charges were dropped are presented as having had charges dropped. Active cases are presented as ongoing with no presumption of guilt. Precedent100 respects the legal presumption of innocence and applies it consistently across all case profiles.

"System questions" and "system flags" sections present documented observations and analytical questions drawn from the public record — not accusations, conclusions, or findings of fact beyond what legal proceedings have established.

Accuracy, Updates & Corrections

Precedent100 makes reasonable efforts to ensure that case information is accurate and up to date at the time of publication. Legal cases are dynamic — verdicts are appealed, convictions are overturned, charges are modified. Case pages are updated when material developments occur and are noted with an updated date in the footer of each page.

If you believe a case profile contains a factual error, an outdated status, or information that requires correction, please contact us at the address below. Corrections that are verified against public record will be made promptly.

Privacy & Sensitive Information

Precedent100 does not publish the names, identifying information, or case details of juvenile defendants except where that information has been legally unsealed and is a matter of official public record.

Victim names are included only where they appear in official public court records and verified news reporting, and only where their inclusion is material to the documented case. Precedent100 does not sensationalize victim information and presents it with the context required for accurate case documentation.

Private individuals who are not public figures and who appear in case records incidentally — as witnesses, bystanders, or associates — are referenced only to the extent necessary for accurate case documentation.

Takedown Request Policy

Precedent100 maintains a public archive of criminal cases sourced from court records and verified reporting. Every entry represents a documented event in the public record. Requests for removal are reviewed individually and in good faith.

We will consider removing or modifying an entry if any of the following apply:

◆ The case has been legally expunged or sealed by court order
◆ The entry contains factual errors that can be documented
◆ The subject is a minor whose information was published in error
◆ The entry was based on charges that were dismissed and the subject has been wrongly identified
◆ A court has issued a specific order requiring removal

We generally will not remove an entry simply because:

◆ The subject prefers the information not be publicly searchable
◆ The case is old or the subject has completed their sentence
◆ The subject finds the information personally distressing
◆ The subject disputes the outcome of legally established proceedings

This balance reflects our commitment to maintaining an accurate public record while respecting individual circumstances where legal or factual grounds support modification.

All takedown requests are confidential. We do not publish the names of requesters. We aim to respond within 14 days.
